From Proview Wiki
Starting with Proview:
- First you need basic GNU/Linux skills
- Download The Book
- Download The Book
- Only use the supported Linux platforms (Debian / Ubuntu) or derived (Mint)
- Use the official Proview releases from sourceforge
- Verify the processor architecture (32-bit vs. 64-bit)
- Create all the examples from the "Getting Started Guide" at least 2 times
- Play with the "Demo"
- Read the "Designer's Guide"
- If you have questions, search the forum first. There is a gold mine of information there, but it is not always easy to find (be sure to use "Any Date" in the Search Options)
- You may also take a look at bruno's video tutorial in the documentation section.
Important Remark
To make work Proview (Berkley Database), Proview user environment (pwrp by default) has to be switched to english locals (time displaying)
